In this way she can challenge him to accept her as his woman with whom he can share his secrets, while Jaron refuses that to all cost. At that moment I got stuck in the book and didn’t want to finish it anymore. I think it’s admiring that Kathie DeNosky completed the series of these rugged Texan gentleman, raised by their foster parent, but I have to say I was a bit disappointed about Mariah. My morals were kicking in and I couldn’t read further on. I think if you can’t do a job where you were hired for, why are you doing it. Maybe it was because that was the way she could be with the man she loved, but it missed something – a righteousness maybe which would allow me to read on. The rest of the series were a better read for me. Challenging and fun to read. I tried to postpone my review. procrastinated where I could, but I had said that I wanted to do a review and I am sorry I can’t be that thrilled about this book.
