Touched
Jillian Logan comes home to Mimosa Key to take care of her remaining family: her younger sister. She has managed to find a job as a massage therapist at the Casa Blanca Resort in Barefoot Bay. She gets a special assignment to treat a wounded soldier. The soldier in question is a very good looking man with a lot of sex appeal and is traumatised by his time in Afghanistan. They have a mutual attraction towards each other. Jillian has to remind herself that employees of the Resort are not supposed to fraternize with their clients, but is is very difficult for her to balance her attraction to him and still be very professional. Sam, the wounded soldier is at first looking for someone female to have in his bed and he is flirting his a** off. On top of that is Jillian trying to introduce new methods of therapy, he is very sceptical and throws it all on one heap as rubbish and voodoo. After a few days however is his first drive to get a female into his bed, replaced by how to get Jillian into his bed, while she is worried about how she can give him the necessary massages while she is so attracted to him. Can Sam get over his history and accept his traumas and can Jillian overcome her inhibitions of seeing her client personally. This was the very first book I read from Marilyn Baxter. I liked this book very much. I can relate to both Jillian and Sam and that made the story livelier for me. Sometimes I noticed a bit of hesitancy in the storyline but it was not too obstructive to the story itself. So I enjoyed the story and I want to read something else by Marilyn Baxter.
