adorable romance between vets

For some strange reasons I love to read about veterinarians and the likes, so by default I had to love this book of course. To be honest: I adored this book! I loved how Josh tried to restrain himself, not to think how sexy his business partner is and celebrate a tropical holiday with said business partner. And Erin, his business partner of eight years, trying not to think how hot Josh actually is. That dance around each other is so powerfully written along with some emotional blackmail of Erin’s mother that is thrown into the mix. This is what it’s all about:

Small-town veterinarian Josh drags his (emotionally) stressed best friend and business partner to a tropical beach holiday, because they both need some R&R, after eight stressful years. He wasn’t prepared to see her in a bikini and putting his whole world upside down. He realises the treasure that has been under his nose all these years, but can he convince her to take a chance on love?

Erin is so fed up with her mother’s emotional blackmail and the loss of her faithful old dog so all she can do is try to live her normal life. She finds it difficult to interact with the stupid owners of her clients. One of the few things she can rely on is her friendship with Josh and she’s determined not to let sex ruin a perfectly good friendship. Which could be easier if she could resist the feelings and the heat that’s rising between them.
